Bur Oak Square Side Table

$268.00

A very attractive piece of Bur Oak slab that makes a great side or chair table. This wood is heavy and has much more character than red oak. The grain has a ‘windy’ appearance. This piece was cut from a broken/fallen wood and left to the elements. The cut marks have been kept from this discarded piece of timber. The legs are salvaged from old growth Douglas Fir stud material from a home circa 1930’s in Memphis, Tennessee, tapered angled to give them a mid century mod feel. These studs are true 2x4 and have the character of nearly 100 year old wood. This will make a great center piece for any style. Though they are strong enough, these are not stools or seats and may not be suitable for such use, especially 3 leg tables.
